Manufacturing Engineering Trainee

CNC Engineering Development Program

Sundaram Clayton USA, LLC

The Manufacturing Engineering Trainee participates in a structured 2-year development program designed to prepare recent Associate Degree graduates for future technical positions within manufacturing and engineering operations.

The trainee will gain hands-on experience in CNC manufacturing, production support, engineering support activities, reporting, troubleshooting, quality systems, and continuous improvement.

This position provides real-world manufacturing experience while developing the technical and professional skills needed for future opportunities such as:

  • Manufacturing Engineering Technician
  • Supervisor Technician
  • CNC Process Technician
  • Engineering Support Technician

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in structured on-the-job training
  • Support CNC manufacturing and production operations
  • Assist with production reporting and data tracking
  • Support engineering and continuous improvement activities
  • Follow all company safety and quality procedures
  • Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities
  • Maintain professionalism, attendance, and reliability
  • Work closely with mentors, supervisors, and engineering personnel
