One year of relevant experience;
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written;
Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed;
Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills;
This position is responsible for performing various packaging / material handling functions to ensure effective and efficient delivery of goods and services to the customer in a safe and timely manner. Transporting product and supplies between departments and/or locations, may load trailers or shipping containers. May operate different types of powered fork lift trucks. Feed product to conveyors, hoppers or other feeding devices and unload product from trailers or shipping containers. Must effectively work with others within the team to achieve team goals. Effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisor. Perform all additional duties as assigned by supervisor. Follow all company policies and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards;
Follows all safety policies and procedures;
Operates machines that perform one or more packing functions such as filling, marking, labeling, banding, tying, packing, or wrapping containers;
Starts machines and observes operation to detect any possible malfunction of the machine;
Inspects completed package to ensure that product is packaged according to specifications;
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job;
Perform all operations in a safe manner to protect you and the equipment;
Maintain packaging equipment Ensure all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed before, during, and after packaging process;
Perform other duties as assigned by the area supervisor;
Maintains clean, organized work areas and securely stores equipment and supplies;
Loads, transports, and unloads materials, tools, equipment, and supplies;
Fills orders from multiple departments;
Stocks items needed to keep production running smoothly.
