Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experience in all types of sewing machine repair. AKAB and Barudan would be a plus as well.
- Knowledge of electronics, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Experience:
- Experience in performing maintenance on sewing machine and other manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnosis and corrects complex machinery and malfunctions.
- Ability to work on multiple machines.
Physical Demands and Working Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with sewing machine operator to assess problems. This position requiring walking, bending, standing, stooping, kneeling, reaching above and below shoulders, and work in tight spaces. Working conditions are indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. All personal protective equipment is required.
- Performs routine maintenance and insures that the machines are in good working order.
- Diagnoses machine malfunctions and makes the necessary repairs.
- Inspects own work to insure proper specifications are obtained.
- Must use proper Lockout/Tagout procedures when appropriate & follow all other safe work practices required by the Company.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
