A 10th grade education and four (4) years of work experience that involved the independent performance of job duties directly related to the area of employment; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.
A valid motor vehicle operator's license.
A Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License. (NOTE): This position requires a valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License. However, applicants without a Class "A" Commercial Driver’s License will be considered if no qualified applicants with a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License are available.
Repairs and maintains vehicles including engine overhauls,transmission repairs and overhauls,differential repairs and overhauls, and clutch replacements to both gasoline replacements to both gasoline and diesel powered vehicles, CDL trucks, and other equipment. Performs preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment using appropriate manufacturer's manual. Prepares and installs new equipment into new vehicles and equipment. Performs hydraulic and pneumatic system checks.
