Previous applicants are still being considered and do not need to re-apply.**Diagnoses, repairs or replaces parts as necessary on all automotive gasoline engines,transmissions, brakes, exhaust systems, cylinder heads, valves, timing belts, cooling systems.Operates and performs testing with new generation start tester and monitor testing equipment in order to diagnose problems with various on board computer systems. Performs preventive maintenance on all SCDOT equipment to include both gasoline and diesel engines. Repairs diesel power equipment to include motorgraders, backhoes, loaders, roller, AMZ machines, tractors,and mowing equipment. Repairs diesel engines to include cooling system, fuel system,transmissions, rear ends, hydraulics systems, gear box, steering, engines, drive trains, PTO and other various types of repairs. Performs preventive maintenance as required. Performs welding and fabrication as needed for repairs on various equipment making modifications to equipment to improve the production of utilizations. Performs electric or gas welding. Performs other duties as required.
