Requirements:

A 10th grade education and three and one-half (3.5) years of work experience that involved the independent performance of job duties directly related to the area of employment; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.A valid Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License. (NOTE): This position requires a valid Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License within six (6) months of placement in the position. However, applicants without a Class ?A? Job Description:

Repairs diesel power equipment to include motor graders, backhoes, loaders, roller, AMZ machines, tractors, and mowing equipment. Repairs diesel engines to include cooling system,fuel system, transmissions, rear ends, hydraulics systems, gear box, steering, engines, drive trains, PTO and other various types of repairs. Performs preventive maintenance as required.Diagnoses, repairs or replaces parts as necessary on all automotive gasoline engines,transmissions, brakes, exhaust systems, cylinder heads, valves, timing belts, and cooling systems. Operates and performs testing with new generation start tester and monitor testing equipment in order to diagnose problems with various on board computer systems. Performs repairs or replaces automotive equipment. Repairs engines, transmissions, drive train, brakes, and fuel systems. Operates test equipment as required. Diagnoses and repairs all fuel and electrical systems components for gasoline and diesel powered equipment with or without vehicle on-board computers. Performs welding and fabrication as needed for repairs to all equipment. Performs emergency repairs to all equipment that have failures on roadways or construction projects. Performs other duties as required. Conducts pre-operation vehicle equipment inspection.
