· Must have a certification from an accredited Medical Assistant/Certified Nursing Assistant Program
· Must have and maintain a BLS certification.
· Each individual must have practical experience in male health.
· High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalency. Medical terminology desired.
a. Taking history and vital signs
b. Performing electrocardiogram
c. Giving injections/immunizations/tuberculin skin testing.
d. Providing patient education
e. Assisting clinical staff during medical emergencies.
f. Restocking suppies in patient exam areas.
g. Triage of patient medical complaints and referral to RN, PA or MD as appropriate.
h. Administer oral medications
i. Dressing changes/wound care
j. Other duties as permitted by requlations and certification
k. Maintain a clean and sanitary work area
