Qualifications:
Required:
Technical degree desired and experience in precision measurement testing required
Experience in high volume manufacturing processes a plus
Demonstrated PC and system skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SAP, etc.)
Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written
Demonstrated success handling multiple priorities and multi-tasking
Demonstrated ability to manage people and projects
Ability and desire to work in an open, team oriented environment
Ability to read and understand blue prints, with strong knowledge of GD&T.
Ability to use hand tools for test setup and measurement.
Must become certified by Moen corporate to perform materials testing within 2 years of employment.

ASQ Certification for Certified Calibration Technician ( CCT)
ISO/TS quality system experience

Overview:
Moen has a new opening for a Metrology Lab Manager to lead our Metrology lab at our Sanford, North Carolina manufacturing plant (Raleigh area excellent relocation benefits).
Responsibilities:
Coordinates direction of work activities of all lab associates and assigns tasks as needed.
Performs all standard and non-standard tests for compliance to ASTM/ASME/MOEN standards.
Operates, maintains and troubleshoots test equipment. Calibrates and makes minor repairs and adjustments to basic and advanced test equipment.
Monitors equipment, collects data and insures test specimen is operating within the defined specifications.
Implements testing procedures that ensure timely accurate test results, design reliability and satisfaction of all certification requirements.
Follows test procedures and verbal instructions.
Programs measurement routines on CMM, optical comparators and other measurement devices.
Provides guidance and training to measurement personnel and others as requested.
Performs all needed administrative duties such as report writing, filing and maintenance of paperwork and electronic data, photography, work order entry, ordering of supplies, scheduling of calibrations, quarterly performance review of all reports, writing quality notifications to suppliers, etc.
Identifies the appropriate measurement method and measurement tools for the measurement requests.
Selects, programs and operates all measurement systems; able to run all software.
Works closely with engineering staff on PPAP and other tests requests.
Serves as a main contact point with Corporate Materials Testing.
Assists with development of test equipment, test setups and test methods.
Maintains a working knowledge of certification and real world test requirements for Moen products.
Communicates with project team members and engineers within Moen requiring testing services as necessary regarding interpretation of data and methods of testing.
Reads and interprets Engineering Drawings including knowledge of English and metric measures.
Leads and participates in safety, environmental, quality and lean initiatives including auditing, HAZWOPER, and kaizens.
Travels to other facilities to support business needs occasionally.
Maintains clean and orderly work areas.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Assess new technology and its viability to improve lab capabilities.
Write Capital appropriation request, providing relevant justification to the business.
