What We’re Looking For:
We are looking for motivated self-starters who take pride in their craft. You should be comfortable in a heavy fabrication environment and committed to quality, safety, and precision.
You’ll be welding thick plate and structural steel, including pressure-rated assemblies, so attention to detail and consistency are critical.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in MIG and Fluxcore welding (GMAW/FCAW)
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and weld symbols
- Experience welding steel plate and structural steel
- Self-motivated and team-oriented attitude
Weld test:
The test will include a 3G and 4G ½” plate test with backing strip. This test will be visually inspected at the root, hot pass, and cap levels.
Upon successful completion of the weld test there will be a written test to gauge blueprint and tape measure reading skills. Then an interview with department management.
Be sure to bring all necessary gear to take a weld test including steel toed shoes.
Nice to Have:
- Fabrication experience (cutting, grinding, fitting)
- Forklift or overhead crane experience
- AWS certifications
