Pre-Admission Specialist (Radiation Oncology)

High school graduate or equivalent.  Prefer Associates or Bachelor degree in a health or business related field, and a working knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9 and CPT Coding.  Minimum of four years experience in hospital setting.  Prefer scheduling and benefit/pre certification experience.  Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.  Understand insurance guidelines that affect claims processing and utilization management.  Must have knowledge of all third party payer carriers including state and government regulations.  Must possess ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision and still function as a team player.  Must be able to communicate and understand verbal and written English language, bilingual with Spanish language is desirable.
