A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the work experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Associates Degree plus 3 years relevant work experience or High School Diploma plus 5 years relevant work experience. Automotive Mechanics Diploma and/or Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification(s) is preferred.
TWO OPENINGS! Will receive requests for repairs or service to State vehicles, access maintenance data base for vehicle history, issue purchase order numbers, estimate dollar amounts, and direct vehicle operators to vendor(s) offering the type repair or service needed. Ensures proper execution through the monitoring and tracking of services and repairs performed by vendors to each vehicle. Performs vendor inspections as required. *Must possess a valid South Carolina Driver's License. Only applicants selected for an interview shall provide a current copy (must not be more than six months old) of their Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), obtained at the applicant's expense from any South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicle location. Applicants whose MVR shows involvement in more than two accidents in the last three years or more than eight current violation points shall be unqualified.
