Education: 

  • High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Can demonstrate basic math, reading and mechanical skills through assessment testing. 
  • Able to read, interpret and follow all work/safety instructions.
  • Work Keys Certification at the Silver Level is preferred.

     

    Experience:
  • Prior industrial manufacturing experience is desirable.

  • Able to meet regular and timely attendance requirements with additional overtime required on short notice.

Job Description:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

  • Adhere to all established safety procedures to include use of all personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Demonstrate the spirit of Continuous Improvement and accept, adopt, and comply with Alumina’s Empowerment Challenge, Quality Policy, Quality Objectives, and Quality Vision.

  • Operate assigned equipment conforming to all written and verbal instructions.

  • Manually load raw materials to assigned equipment.

  • Accurately and legibly maintain all documentation as required. This includes but is not limited to; parts run data, downtime data, quality data, Lot ID and traceability, scrap reports, 5S audit data, work area maintenance data, continual improvement data and squad metric data.

  • Maintain clean and organized work area.

  • Conduct product quality checks as required to written and verbal instructions.

  • Comply with performance standards & documented work instructions.Perform all duties in a manner that demonstrates the highest level of safety, quality, efficiency, and timeliness.

  • Perform equipment changeovers as assigned.

  • Additional duties as assigned.

     

Schedule:
Monday-Thursday
6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Mandatory Overtime as needed
