REQUIREMENTS:
3-5 years minimum of automotive experience supervising (or) new graduate with automotive/mechatronics, process courses.
Lean experience required such as 8D, KPIs, process improvements
Mechanical background a plus
Quality experience a plus

Individual must have ability to supervise general manufacturing processes and associates; ability to plan and delegate assignments; must be able to speak, read, and write English; individual must be a good communicator and a good listener; must have good understanding of manufacturing operations, machine set-up and changeovers, safety, and quality issues; must possess good interpersonal skills and present a positive attitude; ability to motivate associates and set a good example; ability to evaluate performance and address discipline issues; ability to work overtime hours including weekends; good problem-solving abilities and teamwork skills. Mechanical skills to perform maintenance and corrective actions on processes to minimize down time.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Extended standing, with some bending and reaching as well as the ability to move around and between facilities; must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.; ability to interpret production schedules, reports, and data stored on PC's (Personal Computers), and mainframe computer system; ability to visually monitor production processes and product quality as well as safety; ability to inspect products using fixtures and precise measuring equipment

Job Description:

SUMMARY:
To supervise the JIT (Just-In-Time) manufacturing activities of the production floor in order to exceed customer expectations

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibility for quality and conformance of product to customer specifications per control plans utilizing TS16949, IS014001and OSHAS 18001 documented systems; authority to stop non-conforming processes and report same to Business Unit Manager, Quality Assurance and/or Engineering department representative
Maintain work areas to meet and exceed customer requirements
Visually monitor housekeeping and plant organization
Monitor and address safety & environmental concerns on the shop floor
Monitor quality issues toward our goal of zero defects
Control overtime to achieve a goal of O hours
Improve efficiency by reducing down time and set-up time
Perform daily scrap reviews
Enforce company policies as outlined in Handbook
Create and implement Continuous Improvement suggestions
Housekeeping and other activities as assigned
Provide a safe and healthful work environment that is free of recognized hazards for all associates, contractors and visitors.
Advise associates, contractors and visitors of any actual or potential danger to their safety or health, and ensure the necessary training and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided and used
Cooperate with all local, state and federal agencies, such as OSHA or the EPA, in the event of an inspection.
Know, follow and enforce all applicable TS 16949, ISO 14001 and Safety Policies and Procedures
Investigate all injuries (Immediately) and ensure corrective action is taken and maintained.
Perform hourly production board walks
