- Background in quality management preferred.

- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Job Summary:
The Quality Improvement Assistant will be responsible for assisting in monitoring key quality activities and processes for Greenwood Genetic Center Diagnostic Laboratories under the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Analyze Molecular, Biochemical, and Cytogenomic laboratory statistical quality reports to ensure laboratory regulatory standards are met.
- Statistical data for quality reporting requires training in databases including MediaLab, Rees, and Epic Beaker
- Monitor regulatory requirements in the following categories: safety, electronic records, personnel, databases, specimen management, record retention, patient data, interfaces, HIPAA, results reporting, reagents, instrumentation, test methods and validation, maintenance.
- Assess findings and suggest improvements based on patient safety goals.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
