This person will be responsible for doing all paperwork, activities, and events for their specific area as well as assist as a team player for the entire Recreation Department.
NHC Healthcare, Greenwood is seeking an energetic team player to and leader who strives to enhance our residents' quality of life by developing, managing and implementing music and recreational activities that are engaging and meaningful to each individual resident. We are a 152-bed Skilled Nursing Center located in Greenwood, South Carolina and an affiliate of National HealthCare Corporation (NHC).
The Recreation Assistant will aide in providing activities which meet the physical, social, mental, emotional, and/or spiritual needs of each resident while providing an atmosphere of “fun” and enjoyment.” This includes the “INDIVIDUALIZED 1 TO 1 PROGRAMS.” Experience with music and memories is a plus. This valued partner in our center provides guidance and resources for staff and family members to help enrich the resident's life and well-being at all stages of cognition. As a member of our inter-disciplinary team, you will complete recreational care plans, attend care plan meetings with residents and families, time manage your work processes, establish community relationships with volunteers and others. Dementia training and execution of this training is vital to our center in many ways.
