Forklift license (or willing to obtain license); Demonstrated ability to perform repetitive tasks with focus on instructions and safety; Minimum 6 months experience using material handling equipment and driving a forklift in a warehouse function; Demonstrates a high level of customer service and strong communication (both listening and speaking) and interpersonal skills; High School graduate or GED equivalent; Basic understanding of machinery; Ability to keep accurate and legible records; Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures in material handling field; Excellent attention to detail, a focus on accuracy, and a sense of urgency; Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment; Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the function of the job
Recycle Technicians sort and prepare non-hazardous material such as corrugated cardboard, laminated and coated paper, and/or plastic for recycling. Other responsibilities include sorting, crushing by machinery and bailing into bundles for shipment.
Operate other machines such as balers, that compress materials into easy-to-transport bundles; Operate forklifts, front-end loaders, trucks and other equipment for moving large, heavy items; Utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, pallet jack, hoists, conveyors, or handling equipment to move material to and from delivery transportation vehicles and within warehouse or storage facility; Utilize special machinery for shredding paper products; Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of machinery maintenance; Ensures all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed;
Performs other special projects and duties as assigned
