Hello,

I am the Director of the Cardio-Pulmonary Department at Steele Memorial Medical Center, in Salmon Idaho. My team and I are looking for a full-time Respiratory Therapist who is self-motivated, not overly confident but able to handle critical situations, to add to this outstanding team. The ideal person would need to be open to training in non-traditional RT roles, such as Cardio-Pulmonary Rehabilitation, patient/community education and much more.

Steele Memorial (SMMC) is a county-owned, 18-bed, CMS-certified Critical Access Hospital and Level IV trauma center. Since we do not have an ICU, critical patients  are stabilized and  sent to one of the  larger hospitals in the surrounding area which offer a higher level of care.  SMMC offers an extensive range of services including comprehensive emergency services, a Rural Health Clinic, and a specialty clinic consisting of several outpatient services.

Requirements:

The therapist must be a graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program. New graduates are encouraged to apply.  Extensive training provided.  Must have a current Idaho Respiratory Therapist license, NBRC certified CRT and must obtain RRT within a year. Must have a current BLS, ACLS, PALS. NRP and STABLE to be obtained within six months. 

Position is 40 hours a week, Monday thru Friday 1130-800pm with weekends off. On call required every other week.
