Summary: Effectively plans and implements work for assigned production department ensuring parts or materials and manpower are available for the department to perform the work. Requires knowledge, skill and ability to perform and fill in for any position in the department and can perform equipment setup.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
? Responsible for product quality, workmanship and methods applications, meeting production schedules and general departmental operations consistent with the company?s manufacturing objectives.
? Organizes and assign work; train and guide employees in proper methods of running jobs
? Anticipate production problems, e.g. unavoidable delays, material shortages, equipment malfunctions, etc. and where feasible devise and implement procedures to offset loss of man hours and schedule interruptions.
? Coordinate repairs of equipment to avoid excessive downtime.
? Follows safety guidelines and monitors use of safety devices, equipment, departmental housekeeping, and maintain constant alert for hazardous conditions.
? Maintain conformance with Company work rules and regulations.
? Trained and certified for all welding operations, methods and processes.
? Operational, Setup and Programming knowledge of automated and robotic weld cells.
? Operational, Setup and Programming knowledge of resistance welders.
? Knowledgeable on Welding Specification requirements, print reading, CMM layout reports and weld evaluation techniques.
? Monitors equipment downtime to ensure best utilization.
? Weld process, automated fixture and machine trouble shooting skills.
? Provides other support to production and management as required.
