The successful candidate will have demonstrated proficiency with a computer and associated drafting software, such as Windows and AutoCAD, as well as the use of electronic drafting tools. The successful candidate must also be able to collaborate with varied disciplines both internally and externally as well as operate within the company's team environment. This requires working closely with designer and other draftspersons to produce engineering drawings. The ability to produce approval level drawings from designer notes and sketches is required. Qualified candidates must be a student studying in a technical field with an emphasis on computer aided design applications such as AutoCAD.
Responsibilities for a Summer Intern: This position produces drawings and data that clearly and accurately depict the Fossil Hydro plant infrastructure, as well as the engineering parameters that support their design. This position is responsible for providing drafting services that support engineering and design requirements. Drafting services include preparation of detailed system, equipment or component drawings; as-built drawings; electronic drawing and document control; and drawing revisions. This position requires use of manual and electronic drafting tools. Drafting personnel must be proficient with a computer and associated software, such as AUTOCAD, Windows, and electronic drawing management systems such as ADEPT.
