High School Diploma required. Associate?s degree or Bachelor?s degree a plus. Software applications needed in word processing, spreadsheet, AS 400, and database management. Proficient in keyboarding, data entry, and office equipment such as photo copiers, telephone systems, fax machines, and printers. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with ability to be tactful and use good judgement. Strong organizational skills and initiative are required and expected. Must be able to work and perform in a fast-paced environment with many distractions. Ability to read blueprints is very helpful.

Summary of Duties:

Provide satisfaction to the customers of GF&P, Inc. with quality products while efficiently scheduling job-shop, and auto plating lines. Prioritize and deal effectively with customer demands in a timely manner. Provide GF&P, Inc. with a department that will prove profitable based on labor and material use.

Job Duties Include (but not limited to):

 Must be available to the customers of GF&P, Inc. at any time by phone, e-mail, or in person.
 Take orders from customers by phone, EDI, or by material being sent in and schedule in our plating department in a timely fashion based on customer demands.
 Enter orders into the computer system.
 Follow and track each order to ensure shipment will be made to meet customers? delivery requirements.
 Expedite orders per customers? request.
 Organize work orders in fabrication and plating to fulfill ship date.
 Update each work order on a daily basis to run a series of computer generated reports that aid in tracking each work order.
 Maintain a steady workflow on the shop floor as much as possible.
 Assure that all new parts are processed according to Quality procedures for First Part Approvals.
 Assist with all required documentation relating to QS/ISO 9008.
 Daily check by report the dates of deliveries in comparison to the date of receipt. Make appropriate changes based on plating schedules and customer demands.
 Ability to run all necessary reports generated in the Production Control Department.
 Continuously strive for the highest possible customer on-time delivery performance. Prepare necessary charts and reports in regard to on-time delivery performance.
 Daily check of staging area for new shop orders to be plated.
 Answers department telephone and responds to routine inquiries.
 Assist in performing cycle counts, month-end inventories, and annual physical inventories.
 Must build and maintain a good professional relationship with customers and fellow employees.
 Performs other duties and projects as defined by the Operations Support Manager.
