Must be at least 21 years of age with a HS diploma. Some college education is preferred. Must have excellent communication and leadership skills. Safety training and supervision experience preferred. Must successfully complete both practical and written testing as an Operator in accordance with Ropes Courses, Inc. policies and procedures. Must be willing and able to interact with guests and employees of all ages. Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, be able to lift 50lbs, and work on your feet all day.
Under general supervision, is responsible for the successful operation of the Sky High Safari attraction at Riverbanks Zoo and Garden. The Senior Ropes Course Operator will act as the day-to-day, hands-on, direct leader to the staff working the attraction. Ensures the safe and efficient operation of the course and consistent high quality service to all guests. Trains staff on the proper methods of course operation including: course inspections, harnessing, emergency procedures, cash control, various reports and documentation as outlined by Ropes Courses, Inc. Observes guest behavior, assists staff, assists climbers, enforces appropriate safety rules and initiates emergency procedures as necessary. Reports to the Attractions Coordinator and the Attractions Manager.
