High school diploma required. Some college education is preferred. Must have excellent communication and leadership skills. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Must be willing and able to interact with guests and employees of all ages. Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, be able to lift 50lbs, and be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
Under general supervision is responsible for the successful operation of the Tram at Riverbanks Zoo and Garden. The Senior Tram Driver will act as a day-to-day, hands-on, direct leader to staff working the tram. The Senior Driver ensures the safe and efficient operation of the tram and consistent high quality service to all guests. Trains staff on safe driving methods and other standard operating procedures. Monitors and completes tasks such as daily inspections and cleaning. Reports to the Attractions Supervisor and the Attractions Manager.
