Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in shipping, receiving, or general warehousing in a manufacturing plant.
- Forklift experience required – current certification preferred.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, safety rules, and production documents.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand, lift, bend, and move materials throughout the shift.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with rubber compounding, kneading, milling, or foam extrusion processes.
- Familiarity with basic quality checks (e.g., density, thickness, visual inspection).
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Work Conditions:
- Full-time, 1st Shift (Monday to Friday; with overtime through the week and weekends as required).
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, rubber materials, and moving machinery.
- AEROFOAM USA, LLC is a nonsmoking facility.
- Must be able to wear required PPE, lift up to 50 lbs, and work on feet for extended periods with bending, reaching, standing, stooping, and lifting.
Position Summary:
The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for coordinating and executing all shipping and receiving activities in the warehouse. This includes unloading deliveries, verifying shipments, preparing outgoing orders, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The role is vital to ensuring smooth flow of goods in and out of the facility, supporting production, sales, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipping:
- Prepare and package accurate outgoing shipments based on customer or internal orders.
- Generate and verify shipping labels, packing slips, and other freight documentation. (e.g. BOLs, custom forms, etc.)
- Schedule pickups with carriers (LTL, FTL, Fedex, UPS, parcel etc)
- Load shipments safely onto trucks using forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives across the production line.
Receiving:
Unload incoming shipments from trucks.
Inspect good for damage, discrepancies, or missing items.
Check incoming materials against purchase orders or delivery notes.
Accurately receive materials to EPR/WMS (e.g. SAP)
Label and move inventory to appropriate storage locations.
General Warehouse Support:
- Commitment to safety and accuracy.
- Follow safety protocols, wear required PPE, and report any incidents immediately.
Collaborate with Inventory Control, Purchasing and Production Teams.
Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory as needed including audits.
Ensure forklift is clean, inspected as required, and charged each shift.
Ensure good housekeeping and 5S in department is timely and organized.
