Requirements:

A high school diploma and seven and one-half (7.5) years of related trades experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with the State Human Resources Regulations.

A valid Class A commercial driver's license. (Note): This position requires a commercial driver's license. However, qualfied applicants without commerical driver's license will be considered if no qualified applicants with commercial driver's license are available.

Experience in on-the-job safety practices and accident prevention.

Job Description:

Plans work, assigns duties and supervises daily activities of shop work force performing repairs and maintenance of automotive equipment and road machinery. Supervises the preparation of work orders, requisitions for repair parts needed by shop personnel and operations of stock room. Maintains daily work reports on HMMS, personnel ratings, and progress reports as required. Supervises preventative maintenance programs for Department equipment and vehicles. Performs liaison duties for purchasing card involving shop activities. Troubleshoots mechanical problems. Performs duties including heavy lifting, bending, stooping, and standing.

Schedule:
Monday - Friday (8:30 - 5:00)/ Full-Time
