Applicant must be available to work seven days a week including all holidays. Applicants need to be able to lift up to 50 lbs. This position requires working long hours in all weather conditions.
Irrigators are responsible for monitoring and maintaining moisture levels in all crops in the nursery. This requires watering with overhead irrigation, fertilization, setting out drip tape, hand watering and setting irrigation schedules with greenhouse irrigation and controlls fertilization. To ensure water is applied correctly, irrigators are responsible for maintaining of all sprinklers, hoses, pipes. Additional responsibilites include standing up and consolidating plants, weeding, and applying herbicide.
