Sr. Design Engineers

This position is responsible, under minimal engineering oversight, to originate, develop, and check complex mechanical and/or electrical design layouts, models, assemblies, detail and fabrication drawings, and schematic diagrams of products or test fixtures using computer aided design (CAD) systems. This position provides support to other departments, suppliers and customer as required to ensure the efficient planning, production, testing, shipment of quality products, and after sales support.

In addition, this position translates design requirements into mechanical and / or electrical models, engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, instruction books, or other product or tooling documentation, as required; Demonstrates ingenuity in designs and in preparing documentation considering proper function, material selection, tolerancing, design for manufacture and assembly; Checks or create layouts, drawings and drawing and systems bills of material for completeness and accuracy; performs necessary calculations such as sizes, tolerances, fits, weights and centers of gravity as required; makes changes and additions to engineering documentation, as required; ensures changes to engineering documents are made in accordance with the Change Control Procedures.
