Wages/Salary: $15.00/hour to increase to $17-21/hour DOE, upon conversion.

Requirements:

Candidate must be willing to submit to drug screen, and background check.
Candidate must have 1 year experience in a commercial printing facility, either running a saddle stitcher, binder and or cutter.

Job Description:

This is a temp to perm position for a family owned printing facility in the Columbia, SC area.

Be responsible for set up and operation of the Muller Martini Stitcher. Previous binder or cutter operators will also be considered.

Good mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of whole numbers and fractions).
Good mechanical ability and excellent problem solving and decision making skills.
Good leadership skills and the ability to lead by example and work without supervision.
The ability to work effectively with customers, sales, and fellow co-workers.
The ability to lift 35lbs and up to 50lbs occasionally
The ability to consistently, interpret verbal and written instructions and demonstrate proficiency in the use of data collection systems, demonstrate accuracy and consistency in data collection as specified in quality documentation and by management.
The ability to accept direction from supervisors, management and peers to improve quality and performance and able to work in a team environment.
An understanding of job prep, job tickets and work orders.
Demonstrated knowledge and ability to make-ready, operate and maintain machines.
The ability to interact well with scheduling and management to facilitate the daily schedule, work with the press department to aid quality inspection and understand customer quality requirements and the use of proofs.
In addition, qualified candidate must understand job prep, job tickets and work orders. Must demonstrate the knowledge and ability to make-ready, operate and maintain a Muller Martini Saddle Stitcher, interact with scheduling and management to facilitate the daily schedule, work with the press dept. to aid quality inspection of printed forms before binding and understand customer quality requirements and use of proofs in checking binding attributes.

Schedule:
Two shifts are available:
First shift is Monday - Friday 7-330PM
Second shift Sunday 7AM-3PM then M-Th 3PM-11PM
