Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

    • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Strong background in rubber, plastics, extrusion, or similar process-based industries.
    • Solid understanding of production processes, safety practices, and quality systems.
    • Proficient in using ERP systems; SAP experience strongly preferred.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Technical associate degree or higher in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field.
    • Experience in elastomeric insulation or similar products.
    • Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma training/certification.
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.

Work Conditions:

    • Full-time, 2nd Shift (Monday to Friday; occasional weekend and overtime work may be required). Training will initially take place on 1st shift for approximately 6-8 weeks.
    • Manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, and production equipment.
    • Requires walking, standing, lifting, and wearing appropriate PPE.
Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Production Supervisor – 2nd Shift is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations on the plant floor, with a strong focus on safety, product quality, on-time delivery, and workforce engagement. This role will oversee production of elastomeric insulation materials, including rubber mixing, extrusion, and curing processes. The ideal candidate will bring leadership experience in rubber, plastics, or extrusion manufacturing and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet safety, quality, and efficiency goals.
    • Lead, coach, and develop hourly production team members; manage attendance, performance, and training.
    • Monitor production KPIs and take corrective action to minimize downtime and scrap.
    • Ensure compliance with all plant safety rules and operational procedures.
    • Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to resolve process or equipment issues.
    • Oversee shift handover communication and maintain accurate production records.
    • Utilize SAP or similar ERP system to track materials, production orders, and inventory.
    • Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives including 5S, lean manufacturing, and waste reduction.
    • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality or performance issues.
    • Participate in audits, plant meetings, and improvement workshops as needed.
Schedule:
3:30 -11:30 PM Monday - Friday, some overtime
