Wages/Salary: Hourly rate dependent on skills and experience.
High school graduate or the equivalent; Technical school training in mechanical or electrical engineering or related coursework. At least three to five years of work experience, preferably at a construction site.
Basic knowledge of the construction industry.
Strong technical skills.
Recordkeeping skills to complete checklists and other paperwork.
Excellent communication skills, since there is interaction with many different people on a daily basis.
Ability to work outside on a large construction site in a variety of weather conditions. Ability to work overtime and weekends when required.
Construction superintendents/technicians work as assistants to the construction site engineers. They oversee contractors? and subcontractors? work to ensure the work is being done according to the contract, blueprints, drawings, and schematics. They don?t perform the actual electrical or mechanical work.
Construction technicians also assist with quality and safety issues related to the construction project. They serve as a go-between contractors, subcontractors, and Colombo Energy engineers. Position runs until company is in full production, roughly June of 2016.
