Requirements:

You will need a minimum of five years hands on experience with 2 year degree OR equivalent 10 years total hands on experience in build or repair for tooling, gauges, machines, progressive stamping dies, plastic injection molds, and fixtures; automotive industry related experience preferred; training and experience in the programming and operation of CNC controlled machines; ability to run all types of tool room equipment including Mills, Lathes, Drill Presses, Saws, Electric Discharge Machines, Surface Grinders, and Heat Treating Equipment; possess the skills to communicate, read, and write in English; basic print reading and math skills; knowledge of basic computer skills; minimum high school diploma.

Job Description:

Make tooling components to close tolerance for both Injection Molds and Metal Forming Dies per print; assemble and fit complicated tooling for initial sampling including trouble-shooting and fixing problem areas of the Injection Mold or Die; coordinate and supervise other toolmakers in the entire tool building process to meet scheduled time deadlines; communicate to Tooling Manager any roadblocks of bottlenecks in meeting designated timelines; work with production machine set-up personnel and operators to trouble-shoot and correct tooling problems on existing tooling; work closely with designers from the initial tool concept to completion including the update and corrections of the final design; position requires support in the design and development phase of tool and mold projects; position requires communication and implementation of quality department objectives; position requires daily communication of activities to management; support organizational structure as deemed necessary by management systems.
