A valid Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License. (NOTE): This position requires a valid Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License within six (6) months of placement in the position. However, applicants without a Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License will be considered if no qualified applicants with a Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License are available.
Performs duties in the repair of timber bridge piles to include using hand tools for digging out around piling, pouring concrete footings, cutting piles and placing bridge collars to complete repairs. Assists in the repair and preventative maintenance to district bridges using welders, gas powered and electrical tools for repairs to bridge piles, rails and bearings. Trains to operate standard dump truck hauling materials and equipment to and from job sites. Trains to operate dump truck with sand spreader and snow plow attachment during inclement weather. Trains in the operation of backhoe, front end loader and skid steer attachments to be used in various maintenance activities involving bridge repairs. Performs other related job duties as requested or assigned by supervisor.
