A valid Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License. (NOTE): This position requires a valid Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License within six (6) months of placement in the position. However, applicants without a Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License will be considered if no qualified applicants with a Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License are available.
Flags traffic during road repairs to control flow of traffic to protect workers, general public and equipment. Performs duties using manual labor, including maintenance task as clearing of rightof-ways, cleaning drainage ditches, repairing shoulders, patching potholes, making base repairs,repairing bridges, paving driveways, and laying sideline/cross line pipe. Trains to operate 5 yard standard dump truck, and flatbed trucks for hauling materials including asphalt, limestone, dirt,soil, cement, pipe, construction materials and debris. Trains in the operation of heavier equipment including tandem dump trucks, front-end loaders, self-propelled belt loaders, steel wheel and pneumatic rollers, motor graders, specialized mowers and backhoes. Operates chainsaw in cutting trees on right-of-way. Operates standard dump truck with snow plow attachment and sand spreader to remove snow and ice from highways and bridges. Conducts and documents pre-operation vehicle/equipment inspection. Performs other related job duties as requested or assigned by supervisor.
