A 10th grade education and two and one-half (2.5) years of related trades experience; or an
approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.
A valid Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License. (NOTE): This position requires a valid
Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License within six (6) months of placement in the position.
However, applicants without a Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License will be considered if
no qualified applicants with a Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License are available.

Job Description:

Operates tandem ten-wheel dump truck, 5 to 10 yard standard dump truck, and flatbed truck for hauling materials including asphalt, limestone, dirt, soil, cement, pipe, construction materials
and debris. Flags traffic during road repairs to control flow of traffic to protect workers, general
public and equipment. Trains in the operation of a backhoe in cleaning ditches and placing pipe.
Conducts and documents pre-operation vehicle/ equipment inspection. Assists in the installation
of driveways; uses hand tools, and hand tamp, places aggregates, removes mailboxes and
reinstalls and helps place large sections of pipe. Operates front-end loader in the loading of
materials needed for maintenance operations, earth materials, clay, sand and aggregate.
Operates pipe washer in cleaning driveway and cross line pipes. Operates chain saw in the
removal of trees from right-of-way. Performs other related job duties as requested or assigned
by supervisor. Operates standard dump truck with snow plow attachment and sand spreader to
remove snow and ice from highways and bridges.

JOB TYPE: FTE - Full-Time
NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday (8:30 - 5:00)
