A 10th grade education and two and one-half (2.5) years of related trades experience; or an
approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.
A valid Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License. (NOTE): This position requires a valid
Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License within six (6) months of placement in the position.
However, applicants without a Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License will be considered if
no qualified applicants with a Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License are available.
Operates tandem ten-wheel dump truck, 5 to 10 yard standard dump truck, and flatbed truck

for hauling materials including asphalt, limestone, dirt, soil, cement, pipe, construction materials
and debris. Repairs potholes and base surface failures of roadway using hand tools including
shovel, pick, rake and asphalt lute to level asphalt as needed. Opeates medium duty equipment
including boom and batwing mowers, belt loader, tandem dump truck, rollers. Flags traffic
during road repairs to control flow of traffic to protect workers, general public and equipment.
Conducts and documents pre-operation vehicle/equipment inspection. Operates front-end loader
in the loading materials needed for maintenance operations, earth materials, clay, sand and
aggregate. Performs other related job duties as requested or assigned by supervisor. Operates
standard dump truck with snow plow attachment and sand spreader to remove snow and ice
from highways and bridges.
