Operates medium duty equipment such as boom and bat wing mowers, belt loader, tandem
dump truck, and rollers. Performs duties using manual labor, including maintenance task as clearing right-of-ways, cleaning drainage ditches, repairing shoulders, patching potholes, making base repairs, repairing bridges, paving driveways, laying sideline/crossline pipe. Operates tandem ten-wheel dump truck, 5 to 10 yard standard dump truck, and flatbed truck for hauling materials including asphalt, limestone, dirt, soil, cement, pipe, construction materials, and debris. Assists in the replacement of missing and damaged signs, erect new signs, and repair old signs. Flags traffic during road repairs to control flow of traffic to protect workers, general public, and equipment. Operates standard dump truck with snow plow attachment and sand spreader to remove snow and ice from highways and bridges. Conducts and documents preoperation vehicle/equipment inspection. Performs preventive maintenance on equipment as outlined in equipment specifications. Performs other related job duties as requested or assigned by supervisor.
