However, applicants without a Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License will be considered if no qualified applicants with a Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License are available.
Trains in the positioning, driving and cutting of creosoted timber bridge pilings and setting of bridge caps and spans. Trains to operate 10 yard standard dump truck, and flatbed trucks for hauling materials such as asphalt, limestone, dirt, soil, cement, pipe, construction materials and debris. Trains with the installation of bridge decks being placed onto concrete caps. Trains the crew in driving steel H piling to bearing on bridge projects. Constructs wood forms to build caps and footings. Constructs the proper silt fencing to prevent silt from entering the watershed around the bridge site. Trains to operate standard dump truck with snow plow attachment and sand spreader to remove snow and ice from highways and bridges. Conducts and documents pre-operation vehicle/equipment inspection. Performs preventive maintenance on equipment as outlined in equipment specifications. Operates chain saw in the removal of trees from right--of-way. Performs other related job duties as requested or assigned by supervisor.
