Trains to operate tractor mounted slope mowers and guardrail mowers to be used for mowing sight areas and guardrails. Operates guardrail mower. Operates 5-yard and trains to operate tandem dump trucks in hauling materials, pipes and equipment to and from job sites and operates snow plow attachment during inclement weather. Performs manual labor necessary to clearing right-of-ways by hand, clearing out drainage ditches, repairing shoulders of roadway, patching potholes, installing drives, repairing bridges, and laying sideline/crossline drainage pipe. Trains in the operation of backhoe during ditching operations, installing of driveways, and repairing of shoulders. During roadway maintenance and repair, sets up signs for work zones and performs flagging operations at job site to direct traffic safely around workers and equipment. Performs related duties as required.
