A 10th grade education and three and one-half (3.5) years of related trades experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations. A valid Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License. (NOTE): This position requires a valid Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License within six (6) months of placement in the position. However, applicants without a Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License will be considered if no qualified applicants with a Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License are available.
Operates tractor-trailer with lowboy trailer to transport heavy motorized equipment throughout district. Assists the crew in the driving of H piles to bearing, welding pile tips, and welding pile splicers. Constructs the proper silt fencing to prevent silt from entering the watershed around the bridge site in accordance with the erosion control plan. Assists in the construction and verification of forms to build caps and footings as well as placement and finishing of Class "D" concrete into forms. Operates truck mounted plow and sand spreaders in snow and ice removal as necessary. Conducts and documents pre-operation vehicle/equipment inspection. Operates chain saw in cutting trees on the right-of-way. Performs other related job duties as requested by or assigned by or assigned by supervisor.
