Requirements:

MINIMUM AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
A 10th grade education and four and one-half (4.5) years of related trades experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations. A valid Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License.
(NOTE): This position requires a valid Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License within six (6) months of placement in the position. However, applicants without a Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License will be considered if no qualified applicants with a Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License are available.

Job Description:

Assists foreman as necessary with compiling quantities such as acreage and mileage, and reports Job Bulletin http://agency.governmentjobs.com /sc/job_bulletin.cfm?JobID=1230459[8/31/2015 9:54:38 AM] in HMMS. Assist in compiling monthly reports to RME and senior staff. Instructs crewmembers daily in safety practices such as flagging operations, wearing safety equipment, vehicle safety, or when working with hazardous material and waste. Operates boom mowers, slope mowers (with mowing head, buzz bar, and flail), and bat wing mowers in roadside and right-of-way clearing operation as necessary to meet business plan goals. Responsible for minor serving and making minor repairs to equipment. Acts as crew leader in absence of foreman scheduling and performing daily operations. Assists with entering information into HMMS and reports to Resident
Maintenance Foreman. Operates 5 yard tandem dump truck hauling equipment and materials to and from job sites. Performs duties as required for normal daily operations such as flagging,workzone setup and take down per MUTCD standards, follow vehicle driving, small power tool operation, tree removal. Performs other related duties as required for stand-by crew rotation, emergencies, snow-ice, and equipment operation such as plow, loader, or spreader, requiring right-of-way debris removal. Performs other related duties.
