Requirements:

10th grade education and three and one-half (3.5) years of related trades experience; or an approved acceptable equivelance in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.
A valid commercial driver's license. (Note): This position requires a class A commercial driver's license. However, applicants without a class A commercial driver's license will be considered if no qualified applicants with a class A commercial driver's license are available. However,applicants are required to obtain a class A commercial driver's license within six (6) months of
employment. May be required to work overtime, nights, weekends or holidays, and during inclement weather or other emergencies.

Job Description:

Under General Supervision, performs skilled duties in the operation of heavy duty and complex motorized equipment in the construction and maintenance of state roadway and bridge systems. Operates front-end loader with combination backhoe, motor grader, trucks, and/or athey loader as needed to complete work assignments. In the absence of crew leader,supervises a crew in the maintenance of state roadway and bridge operations. Operates salt spreader and/or snow plow in removal of snow and ice. Performs other related duties as required.
