Requirements:

A 10th grade education and four and one-half (4.5) years of related trades experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations. A valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License. (NOTE): This position requires a valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License within six (6) months of placement in the position. However, applicants without a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License will be considered if no qualified applicants with a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License are available.

Job Description:

Operates boom mowers, slope mowers with mowing head and buzz bar and bat wing mowers in roadside and right-of-way clearing operation as necessary to meet Business Plan goals. Responsible for minor servicing and making minor repairs to equipment. Assists supervisor as necessary with compiling quantities such as acreage and mileage, and reports in HMMS. Assists in compiling monthly reports to RME and senior staff. Acts as crew leader in the absence of supervisor scheduling and performing daily operations. Shares responsibility in entering information into HMMS and reporting to Resident Maintenance Foreman. Operates 5 yard and
tandem dump trucks hauling equipment and materials to and from job sites. Performs duties as required for stand-by crew rotation, emergencies, snow-ice removal, and equipment operation requiring right-of-way debris removal. Performs other related duties as assigned.
