A high school diploma and six and one-half (6.5) years of related trades experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.

Supervises and inspects work including limb trimming, patching, laying pipe, and paving driveways. Maintains weekly and monthly reports, time sheets, and cost records via HMMS.Recommends personnel actions including promotions, transfers, and disciplinary measures, and rates employee yearly according to the Employee Performance Management System. Supervises and ensures a safe work zone for maintenance crews, as in flagging operations, wearing of safety equipment, vehicle safety, or when working with hazardous material and waste.Supervises the preventative maintenance of equipment to ensure routine maintenance schedule is followed and to monitor equipment use and wear to prolong equipment life. Supervises and coordinates crew in the removal of snow and ice from roadways and storm damage. Performs other duties as requested in emergency situations and on-call for after emergencies. Performs related duties as required. Ensures crew member compliance with all Department safety rules and reguations.
