A high school diploma and a four and one-half (4.5) years of related trades experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations. A valid Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License. (NOTE): This position requires a valid. Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License within six (6) months of placement in the position. However, applicants without a Class ?A? Supervises and inspects crew in daily maintenance activity of performing vegetation
management on right-of-way of state highway system. Supervises and ensures a safe work zone for maintenance crew as in flagging operations, wearing of safety equipment, vehicle safety, or when working with hazardous materials and waste. Maintains daily work reports documenting labor, equipment and material cost for work performed; enters daily reports into HMMS; recommends personnel actions including promotions, transfers and disciplinary measures; rates employees yearly according to the Employee Performance Management System. Serves as section shed supervisor and ensures facility is maintained appropriately. Performs on call duties for after hour emergencies. Performs night inspections of signs for deficiencies. Performs other related duties as necessary.
