Wages/Salary: $31,182.00 - $57,695.00 Annually
A high school diploma and seven and one-half (7.5) years of related trades experience; or an
approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.
A valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License. (NOTE): This position requires a valid Class "A"
Commercial Driver's License withing six (6) months of placement in the position. However,
applicants without a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License will be considered if no qualified
applicants with a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License are available.
Supervises an equipment repair shop consisting of subordinates performing skilled duties in repairing and maintaining all types of light, medium, and heavy duty equipment and vehicles during normal and emergency situations. Uses computer programs including HMMS, Equipment
Management, SCEIS, Microsoft Office, and others as required for duties including repair order
review/approval, purchasing, and reporting. Reviews and maintains daily, weekly, and monthly
reports, time sheets, and cost records; recommends personnel actions including promotions,
transfers, and disciplinary actions; rates employees as required by EPMS. Performs related
duties as required including supervising facility repairs on shop yard and rest areas,
transporting equipment. Assists in monitoring of preventive maintenance program for all
Newberry Maintenance and Construction equipment ensuring the proper schedules are followed
and reporting is complete.
