Requirements:

Associate degree in a related area; or high school diploma and experience in the repair and maintenance of electronic broadcasting equipment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Associate degree in electronics or mechanical technology and work experience in live television audio, audio post-production and video. Experience in the operation of electronic broadcast equipment. Extensive knowledge of NTSC, EIA, SMPTE, FCC and television industry broadcast standards. Extensive knowledge and skills in operating extremely complex stereo television production facilities and the application of production techniques. Considerable knowledge of remote technical operations.

Job Description:

Set up and operate complex stereo production facilities which may include mics, mixing consoles, audio recorders, limiters, equalizers, reverb units, routing switchers etc., for studio and remote productions. Perform complex set up and technical operation of studio and field cameras and related equipment which may include routing switchers, video switchers, frame syncs, scan converters, etc. Set up and operate complex stereo television audio post production facilities for mixdowns and "sweetening" utilizing computer based editors, various recording devices, mixing consoles and related hardware and software. Set up and operate sound reinforcement systems for both studio and field locations. FAX all equipment and signal pathways before productions. Select appropriate video equipment and apply appropriate techniques as required. Act as an advisor to Producer/Director as to the appropriate resources and techniques for a variety of advanced production requirements.
