Friarsgate Animal Hospital is seeking a full time veterinary technician. Candidate must be customer service oriented, flexible, team oriented, and possess a strong work ethic. Duties include, but are not limited to :
- Assisting doctor during physical exams
- Inpatient care
- Venipuncture
- IV catheter placement
- Client education
- Filling prescriptions
- Anesthesia monitoring and recovery
- Surgical admissions and discharges
- In house lab work
- Fluid therapy
- Dental prophylaxis
- Charting
- Radiography

Weekend and holiday rotations will be required. A veterinary technician is the primary support for our doctors. The duties of a technician require practical knowledge of hospital procedures, policies and services, patient treatment protocols, hospital computer system, end of day hospital cleaning, and terminology used in veterinary hospitals.
