Veterinary Technician Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet clients and obtain contact information and pet medical histories
- Bring animals back to the exam room and perform an initial evaluation of their health
- Provide assistance to the veterinarian during examinations, surgeries, acupuncture, chiropractic adjustments, and other procedures
- Handle basic care duties, such as cleaning and dressing wounds, administering medication, collecting samples, and checking vitals
- Assist with diagnostic imaging and lab work, including blood tests and analysis of urine samples
- Provide food and water to animals retained for the day and observe any unusual health issues
- Sterilize tools and restock examination and operating rooms
- Inform and educate families about at-home care for their pets
- Update patient files and handle other administrative duties as necessary

We are a state-of-the-art integrative holistic small animal practice on beautiful Hilton Head Island, SC offering traditional Western medicine side by side with Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine, animal chiropractic, and homeopathy to provide the best and most comprehensive care possible for the pets of the lowcountry.
We are seeking a compassionate, organized, service-oriented veterinary technician to grow our amazing team. For full time technicians, we offer a monthly stipend for health insurance costs and the option for a salaried position with flexible days off and paid vacations. Our clinic is open Monday through Thursday from 8am to 4pm and Fridays from 8am to 3pm. We are closed weekends and holidays, and do not take after-hours emergency call.
We prefer 1+ years experience in a clinic setting, but are open to training and mentoring. Experience in the alternative medicine modalities (acupuncture, chiropractic, homeopathy) welcome, but not required.
Friday 7:45am to 4pm.
Lunch breaks are rotated in for the staff members between 11:30am and 1pm.
Flexibility with time off.
