Veterinary Technicians

Hiring for a very busy small animal practice with 2 full time veterinarians.

Position is a part time position. During your shifts we ask that you are presentable, and arrive on a timely manner(15 minutes early) with a great attitude for positive work flow.

Upon hire you must be able to maintain and understand a medical record.

Must be physically capable of standing for multiple hours a day and should be able to help lift heavy patients.

Standard technical skills listed are required but not limited to- perform venipuncture and IVC placement, monitoring, and maintenance of anesthesia, a vast knowledge of pharmacology including preventions and vaccines. We require all of our assistants and technicians to be comfortable working with canines and felines and some exotics. We take pride in our clean office space must be willing to do basic cleaning.

Buckwalter Veterinary Clinic strives on teamwork, which means technicians may also be asked to help with reception duties including proper phone etiquette, client communication, administrative task, multi phone answering, scheduling appointments, and checking people in/out. These require computer, email, and phone skills.

SC Veterinary Technician License is preferred, will hire based on experience and references. Knowledge of Avimark software, and Idexx in-house analyzers are a plus.  Also, applicant must be willing to submit to a background check and drug test.
