Requirements:
  • GMAW certification required;
  • ASME certification required;
  • TIG weld certification required;
  • Ability to certify with Robotic Welding within 90 days
  • Ability to understand and apply all standard resistance and MIG welding techniques;
  • Ability to weld in flat and horizontal planes;
  • Ability to repair weld defects;
  • Ability to maintain length of arc and speed of movement to form specified depth of fusion and bead;
  • Willingness to learn new tasks, cross-train, rotate and work as a part of a team;
  • Willingness to work overtime as required depending on business need;
  • Ability to use visual/destructive testing to determine quality of resistance welds
Job Description:

This position is available in the Florence, SC area and is open to relocation assistance!

Responsibilities:

  • Operate automatic welding units by joining two pieces of material using resistance welding techniques;
  • Position and clamp work pieces together or assemble them in a jig fixture;
  • Obtain parts and materials needed to complete tasks;
  • Use disc grinder to smooth out, weld or grind parts prior to welding;
  • Provide direction, training and/or guidance to new employees as required;
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and organized condition and follow prescribed safety rules, quality requirements;
  • Complete setup procedures and operate/change over moderately complex equipment;
