Luncheon Held for Scholarship Recipients, Donors

Scholarships were awarded recently at a luncheon honoring donors and recipients.

 

jane burgdorf scholarshipPiedmont Technical College student and Greenwood resident Celeste Starks, right, received the Jane Burgdorf Realtor Cardiovascular Scholarship at the college’s annual scholarship luncheon. Starks, a cardiovascular technology student, is congratulated by Gus Burgdorf. The scholarship is awarded annually to a cardiovascular technology student and is based on academic achievement. 

 

 

 

jes scholarshipTwo Piedmont Technical College heating, ventilation and air conditioning technology students recently received the J.E.S. Services HVAC Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded annually to a student majoring in HVAC Technology who has completed 12 hours in the HVAC curriculum and maintained a minimum grade point average of 3.0.

 

 

 

greenwood council of garden clubs scholarshipPiedmont Technical College student and Greenwood resident Darcy Gatchell recently received the Greenwood Council of Garden Clubs Scholarship. Gatchell, right, an associate in science student, was congratulated by Suzy Murray, scholarship committee member. The scholarship was established to assist a high school student entering the Horticulture Program. The scholarship is restricted to Greenwood County residents. Student must have at least a 3.0 high school grade point average.

 

 

 

laurens rotary scholarshipPiedmont Technical College student and Waterloo resident Cory Green, left, was recently awarded the Laurens Rotary Club Scholarship at the college’s annual scholarship luncheon. Green, a mechatronics technology student, is congratulated by Michael Seymour from the Laurens Rotary Club. This scholarship is available to Laurens County students showing academic achievement and financial need. 

 

 

 

lcwsc scholarshipTwo Piedmont Technical College students were recently awarded the Laurens County Water & Sewer Commission PTC Golf Classic Scholarship. The scholarship is funded through an annual golf tournament held each spring and selection is based on academic achievement and financial need.

Piedmont Technical College associate in arts student and McCormick resident William Johnson was awarded the Olly Garrison Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded annually to a returning adult student who is changing careers and maintains a minimum 3.0 grade point average.

 

Piedmont Technical College diversified agriculture student and Batesburg resident Michaela Hall was recently awarded the John W. Drummond Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded annually and is based on academic achievement, financial need and leadership ability.
